Product and application information

The 50 kW Diesel Heater is specified with 170,000 BTU/h thermal capacity, a 52-litre fuel tank, digital adjustment and an automatic thermostat for temporary industrial heating projects. It supports controlled ambient heating, while the thermostat helps maintain an operating pattern matched to demand. The documented average fuel consumption of 4 L/h may vary with ambient temperature, thermostat setting, insulation and operating time.

This capacity class can be used where a permanent system is not yet operational or heating is only required for the project duration. Planning should consider volume, ceiling height, open doors, air leakage, outdoor temperature and target temperature rather than floor area alone.

Site conditions and controlled drying

The unit can provide temperature support for concrete, screed and building-drying work, but does not by itself guarantee a drying time or outcome. Relative-humidity measurement, appropriate air movement and dehumidification where required should form part of the project. For concrete, screed, epoxy and other coatings, the material manufacturer's temperature and humidity limits must be maintained, and warm air should not be directed at sensitive surfaces.

The 220 V auxiliary supply for the fan and controls must match the site infrastructure. Fuel safety, combustible clearance, ventilation, combustion-air and exhaust arrangements should be checked before installation. For occupied enclosed spaces such as mosques, wedding venues, sports halls or exhibition tents, only a correctly designed indirect/flued diesel system with exhaust discharged outdoors, or a suitable electric solution, should be considered. Standard heaters must not be used in paint areas with solvent vapour or an explosion classification.
